Hayley & David chose to get married got St Edmunds in Allestree, because her mum and dad married there 27 years ago and it’s where she was christened so it means a lot to her and her family. They both viewed Swancar Farm when it was not much more than a shell, but even then it was breathtaking, so they took a risk and paid their deposit. Both David and Hayley wanted a vintage themed wedding and agreed that a barn conversion would suit their theme perfectly.
They wanted a vintage wedding because Hayley loved all the dainty floral china and floral materials. They chose hessian because it was a neutral colour and added a rustic element to our theme. Like many girls Hayley always dreamed of a heavily embellished “princess” dress but after trying one on she knew it wasn’t the one. After hours of trawling the internet and visiting numerous bridal shops she finally found the one. A beautiful delicate lace fishtail dress with a sweetheart neckline. It fit like a glove and hayley knew instantly it was the dress she HAD to have. As they had a vintage themed wedding Hayley and David couldn’t find exactly what they were looking for so they decided that they would make the stationery themselves with help from Hayleys bridesmaids.
Their beautiful cars were borrowed from her grandad and the best man’s father. If anyone is looking to get married Hayley says that she “would advise future brides to make sure they take time throughout the day to stop and take in everything around them”
